Sustainable@ joins Erasmus+ TWIN-TECH project to shape the future of green and digital skills

15th October 2025, Cuijk, Netherlands — Sustainable@ (S@) is delighted to announce its participation as a partner in the newly approved Erasmus+ project TWIN-TECH, an ambitious initiative designed to equip vocational education and training (VET) learners with the competences they need for success in the twin transition: the combined shift towards a digital economy and a sustainable, low-carbon society.

The TWIN-TECH project will bring together partners from across Europe to develop learning paths and training frameworks that address emerging job profiles in green and digital sectors. By aligning with EU competence frameworks such as DigComp, GreenComp, and EntreComp, the project will ensure that learners, educators, and employers benefit from structured, future-proof skills development.

S@’s role in TWIN-TECH

As a partner in this forward-looking project, Sustainable@ will play a central role, which focuses on building the evidence base for new training pathways. S@ will:

  • Conduct desk research and organise Dutch contributions to the Brainstorming Labs, gathering insights from VET providers, learners, and industry stakeholders on emerging skills needs.
  • Lead interviews and surveys with Dutch employers, educators, and policymakers, contributing to a transnational dataset on evolving green and digital job roles.
  • Co-develop and validate the TWIN-TECH Learning Path Framework, which will integrate green, digital, and entrepreneurial skills into practical modules for VET.

This work will ensure that Dutch perspectives and best practices are embedded in the European framework while allowing local stakeholders to benefit directly from innovative, industry-aligned training solutions.

Who will benefit from TWIN-TECH

The deliverables of the project will provide value to a wide spectrum of stakeholders:

  • VET learners will gain clear and practical pathways into emerging green and digital careers.
  • Educators and training providers will receive structured modules and frameworks to modernise their curricula.
  • Employers and industry will benefit from a workforce with the competences needed to meet sustainability and digitalisation challenges.
  • Policy makers will gain evidence-based insights into national and European skills gaps, enabling better strategic planning.

S@’s expertise in the domain
